In the week 1, the content of supervision is about the way how to continue and investigate the previous project deeper. Cause, I think this would be a great choice to discuss the current situation what we are facing to in these months.

In the week 2, Dr Barry gave me some recommendations about some artists who have related works with my project. And the discussion is about these artists and reference value that might meaningful for me from their works. 

 

In the week 3, we talked about the proposal. The main point of this project and some general shooting ideas are determined.

​

In the week 4, we discussed about the some drafts what I shoot in this weeks and some ideas with combinations between these spaces and statues. Different with project of last semester, I think the statues or I mean the result of photos with space and statues should be more dramatic. And the spaces will not be limited by bench as previous works.

 

In the week 5, continued discussions around some new samples. This week I was kind  of puzzled by how to deal with the relationships between space and statues and statues themselves. we believe multiple statues looks is a great idea to do in the most of works.

In the week 6, we start to talk about the interaction. I think maybe powerful interaction could makes photos more interesting and logical. But, I found it's much harder than I thought to present the result that could reach my expectation.

​

In the week 7, our discussion is about the usage of the multiple statues and the operability of some suggestions that I got in the review A. Multiple statues could make the works become much hard than before, cause I have to consider more conditions and connections, not only between spaces and statues, but also between statues themselves.  

​

In the week 9, we talked about the narrative and surrealism. I believe these factors will bring my works more powerful expressive force and rich content. However, the way that to make these relate to my photos and work well would be new challenges for me.

​

In the week 11, the supervision is start from the reflections and suggestions from Review B. I decide to try these possibilities in my works. And we have some discussion about the out come of combination and the number of statue might happen in my pictures. Honestly, it's hard to get the certain balance in these works.

​

In the week 13, the discussion is all about the final samples that I get in these weeks. Some of them still need more try to reach my imagination. However, it's a little bit late, but I find maybe I don't need all of pictures looks totally finished. In some cases, works lack completeness could be caused by some empty in the works. Because, I think randomness is one of the factors that makes street photography attracts me. Maybe left some empty could make these spaces more real.
